Valdis Jansons is a laureate of several international competitions and a singer with extensive experience in opera music. He has performed in more than 80 opera theaters, recreating 65 roles. He continuously improves his professional development in additional studies. Having recently obtained a master’s degree in conducting, Valdis is currently working on a doctoral thesis at the University of California, USA. One of his areas of interest is language articulation and imagery (creative biography).
“Valdis Jansons is an excellent Verdi baritone with a neither too light nor too dark vocal timbre, smooth throughout the entire range. The articulation of the language is perfect and the unity with the text is continuous.” Opéra de Saint-Étienne, France, 2023
